Letter From the Editor - January 2024

January | New Year, New Run

Embracing a fresh start to running, setting actionable goals, and making a new year of wellness accessible.

Is it possible to approach a new year with only hope and anticipation? Trying to make big changes at the top of a new year can also come with the unrealistic expectation that we’ll be able to completely change our lives with one big resolution. But planning to improve your health and wellness for the new year doesn't have to be overwhelming. In fact, sometimes the simplest of changes can have the greatest of impact.

As we begin a new year of running, training and mindfulness, we can’t help but think about the possibilities, the satisfaction of resetting, and all our hopes for what we want to accomplish. And we've got a few suggestions on how to get started down that road. As we dive into 2024, let's embrace the opportunities for growth, challenges, and, of course, those exhilarating miles. And it doesn’t have to be overwhelming either. We know January can be tight on budgets right after the holidays, so we’ve got tips on how to get fit for the new year without breaking the bank.

Plus, we’re super excited to head to Miami this month as RUNGRL hosts a very cool new pop-up activation, Pre-Covery, in partnership with HOKA, during Miami Marathon weekend! Here's to new beginnings, new PRs, and new running friends.

“New Year, New Run” – it's not just a mantra; it's a commitment to ourselves. So, let's own the road, set those goals, and make this year the most epic run of our lives!
